Young people

We all have different feelings and emotions. During teenage years and the early twenties these can often swing in a disconcerting way. One minute you can be happy and excited and the next feeling sad and down. Often you can allow these feelings to come and go. Sometimes they can be overwhelming and you don't know where to turn for help.

If you are :

  • Worried about someone in your family
  • Being bullied at School or College
  • Worried about the effects of alcohol or drugs
  • Thinking that life isn't worth living any more
  • Have friendship or relationship problems
  • Wonder if you are gay/lesbian
  • Someone you care about has died
  • Been or Being hurt or abused
  • Worried about anything at all and need to talk to someone.
  • Your Parents are divorced or separated.

Two chairsAs a Counsellor who has a lot of experience of working with young people, I can offerconfidential face to face counselling if you are near enough to get to me. Or I can offer Email Counselling and/or real-time Counselling in a Chat room. But make sure you check me out first, to know that the counselling can be safe.

Safety online is very important, if this is the way you want to work I will only do this if I can be sure that you know that I am safe enough for you. As we can't see each other we both need to know that we are who we say we are.

So if I am working solely online with you I need to know that you are either over 16 or that your parents or guardians have given you permission to talk to me after checking me out.
